Meet the Recolight team

Recolight is run by a professional and industry experienced team who are uniquely qualified to provide specialist lamp recycling services and advice.

Nigel Harvey, Chief Executive 
Nigel has worked in the Product Compliance Industry since 1990 in a variety of senior management roles covering marketing, business development, and general business management. Nigel joined Recolight as Chief Executive in 2009. He is very active in the lighting and WEEE sectors, and is currently Chairman of the WEEE Schemes' Forum (WSF) in the UK. 

Alex Hawkins, Operations Manager
Alex worked in the electrical wholesale industry for nine years holding a variety of sales, procurement and project roles. Alex joined Recolight in 2005 as the first full time member of the team.  

Tracey Hodey, Financial Controller

Qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2002, Tracey worked as the UK and European Financial Controller in a leading Network Planning Management company for four years.  Tracey joined Recolight in 2006. 

Frank Craven, Membership Development Manager
Frank joined the lighting industry in 1980, serving 24 years with  Sylvania Lighting, today known as Havells Sylvania.  Frank initially joined the Wholesale distribution sales area and progressed into Technical and Specification sales, to finally end up spending his final 12 years  in the OEM division, and then spent  a further 6 years working in the specialised lighting markets of Ultra Violet and infra Red. Frank has a HNC Lighting Engineering qualification, and joined Recolight in 2010.

Suzanne Castine, Marketing Manager
Suzanne joined Recolight in 2010 after 20 years of working for BT Global Services. Her roles at BT ranged from: business sales for IP based systems, helping deliver marketing campaigns to drive volume sales MOD contract and working with global account teams to demonstrate flexible working technologies and applications. Suzanne is helping Recolight to increase business and consumer collection rates; promoting the company within the lighting industry, wholesalers, facilities management companies, local authorities and consumers.

Derek McNair, Compliance Manager

Derek has worked in the waste management industry for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience in the field of legislative compliance having worked in both the public and private sectors. Derek is responsible for ensuring that Recolight, its members, collection points and recyclers operate in compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental legislation.
