For my final blog post of the Bertie Bulb Tour, I've reached the South of England! Here I am in Stroud with local resident Chris and his son William, along with the store manager Alan

Then it was a 93 minute drive to Southampton for my next shoot of the day, taking a tour of Homebase in Millbrook with Samm Downing (pictured here with me in the lighting aisle)
Day 7 of the tour and I've reached East Anglia - first stop Ipswich and I didn't need to be asked twice to put my feet up for a rest! Shame there wasn't a cup of tea to go with it!
But no rest for me when there's a high-energy mission to complete. Cambridge was my last stop, where I visited one of the local authority's six recycling points across the City. I was joined on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon by Jean Swanson, Executive Cllr of Environmental and Waste Services, Rebecca Weymouth-Wood of Cambridge City Council, and local resident Derek Swanson.
The busiest week of my life comes to an end - I've travelled over 1,000 miles around the country and met loads of wonderful people! Hopefully my journey to raise awarness of the importance of recycling low-energy light bulbs will have reached the ears of many people across the land... there's more info here http://www.recolight.co.uk/Latest-News-Events/Latest-News/Bertie-Bulb-tours-the-UK-to-encourage-the-public-to-recycle-low-energy-light-bulbs!_76.htm and as always keep checking the Recolight website and Twitter for the most up to date news!
Bertie has left the building .... for now!
