Recolight welcomes 100th member

I am extremely proud to welcome our 100^th lamp producer member to Recolight this month. In just over a year our membership has increased some 41% and we now represent a broad range of producers, importers and own branders of lamps in the UK.  Our membership is diverse and vibrant, covering a wide range of companies from the big four manufacturers (GE Lighting, Havells-Sylvania, Osram and Philips Lighting) through to LED producers and niche lighting providers for sunbeds and fish-tanks.

 

We are determined to provide the highest standards of compliance in the industry and I think that because of our commitment to do this, potential lamp producer members recognise the tangible benefits of becoming a Recolight member.

 

One particular sector of the lighting industry that has accounted for a number of our new members is LED manufacturers; we now have 22 specialist LED members.  As the technology for lamp manufacturing continues to advance (and LEDs in particular are an ever expanding area) we are constantly tracking technological advancements and keeping up to date with changes in the industry to ensure that the quality and scale of the service we offer matches what manufacturers, producers and importers are looking for in a compliance scheme.

 

Producers and importers of lamps are required by law to be part of a compliance scheme and we continue to actively look for and help any organisations that need advice on how best to comply with the WEEE Regulations.
