Next week is my favourite time of year again – Recycle Week! You might remember last year was my first taste of fame, starring in a short film about recycling low-energy light bulbs! If you didn’t see, the clip is on YouTube
This year, from 21st -27th June, Recycle Week’s theme is ‘Recycling – Home and Away’. It’s not a nod to my favourite Aussie soap but a notice to everyone that wherever you are you can do your bit to recycle everything from paper, plastic, WEEE and of course, low-energy light bulbs.
Did you know that there are now over 700 places across the UK, including handy collection points at Sainsbury’s, Homebase and Robert Dyas where you can take old low-energy light bulbs to be recycled? Just look out for a little black container near the bottle banks in the car park at Sainsbury’s, or our Bulbstore Mini box inside Homebase and Robert Dyas stores to drop your old ones into. Simple!
It’s really easy to get involved in Recycle Week, and WRAP has lots of hints and tips on the RecycleNow website www.recyclenow.com/recycle_week
