Low-energy light bulbs need to be recycled as they are classed as hazardous waste.  They contain minute quantities of mercury, normally no more than 4mg per bulb and are not dangerous to human health, but in larger quantities could pose a risk to the environment, and therefore must be recycled sustainably.

We carried out research into consumer attitudes about recycling and learnt that to increase recycling rates; we need to make collection easier. 

Working with retailers and local councils, Recolight now have nearly 800 collections points across the UK for consumer CFLs.

The Bulbstore Maxi is for outdoor use, suitable for Local Council bring sites or retail stores with a recycling bank.

The Bulbstore Mini has been designed for indoor use at retail stores.
